On May 3, 2007, Melanie Arens & Mark Nemeth were married on the Big Island of Hawaii. Following is the story of our trip. We hope it brings a smile to you, knowing that we are happy and wish to share and pass on that happiness to you.

Have a great day!

Hiking into the Valley

On the morning after our wedding day, we had arranged to have Renee, from the valley, come give us massages -- the best massages we've ever had -- she was strong and knew what she was doing. You should have seen Melanie's face. After the massages, we went hiking into this beautiful lush valley -- full of history and legend, and once full of 10,000+ people. Waipi'o Valley held Hawaiia's first major city though now there are only about 50 people who live there. We met two of two of them -- Kone and Mahina -- they gave us a ride back up from the valley later that day. In the valley we walked across the river, saw wild horses, tamed horses, taro fields and the overlook where our cabin was.
